  • Breeding: Moving to a 5-day cycle (age 5 & 10) soon
  • 🧬 Traits: Standard breeding caps at 200 generations (nothing removed)

  • ❗ Treats are NOT required (no penalties if you don’t use them)
  • 🔧 Updates to home objects & baskets coming first

👉 Big changes are rolling out over the next few weeks

We wanted to take some time to talk openly about what’s coming next for Foxtrot, including updates, changes, and new systems currently in development.

There’s a lot happening over the next few weeks, and we want to make sure everyone understands where we’re going—and why.

🎣 Foxtrot Fishing Fridays Update

Foxtrot Fishing Tournaments will be held every other Friday at 7 PM SLT.

That means if there wasn’t a tournament this week, the next one will be the following Friday.

👉 Be sure to check announcements each week so you don’t miss the next event!

🌱 Green Garden – A Quick Update

We want to start here first.

Green Garden will not have a May discovery—and that’s on us.

During recent development, Green Garden ran into technical issues that slowed progress more than expected.

That said, Green Garden is not being left behind.

Once current pet updates are completed (very soon), Green Garden will receive:

  • New flowers and discoveries
  • System updates
  • A full development pass

We know many of you have been waiting, and we appreciate your patience while we get it right.

🐾 Pet System Updates

Foxtrot pets will continue to receive monthly trait drops, giving you new goals and new combinations to breed toward each month.

Alongside that, several important system updates are coming:

⏱ Breeding Window Update (Coming Soon)

Pets will move to a 5-day breeding cycle:

  • First breed at age 5
  • Second breed at age 10

We understand this is a change—and it may feel like a slowdown—but it supports the new systems we’re introducing.

🧬 Trait Cap (For Long-Term Balance)

To keep systems sustainable long-term:

  • Traits will be capped at 200 generations for standard breeding
  • Existing pets over 200 gens will keep everything they already have
  • No traits will be removed

Instead, we’re introducing a new way to earn traits going forward.

🍖 Introducing: Treats & Premium Traits

Foxtrot is adding an optional feeding system for pets.

Each pet system (excluding Green Garden) will receive its own treat type.

Pets gain happiness when fed, and pets with max happiness have a chance to produce:

👉 Premium Passing Traits (PPT)

These traits can then be bred and passed normally once earned.

🍖 Treats & Feeding

Each pet system will have its own treat type, starting with Mammoths.

You only need to buy the treat bowl once.
After that, you can refill it anytime—no need to purchase a new bowl.

🧊 Pet Treat Options (cases/pets)

  • 199L — 4 weeks of food (1 Case of food)
  • 899L — 20 weeks (5 cases of food)
  • 1699L — 40 weeks (10 cases of food)
  • 3199L — 80 weeks (20 cases of food)

💡 How it works:

  • 1 case feeds 1 Foxtrot for 4 weeks
  • Or split across multiple pets (e.g., 2 Mammoths = 2 weeks)
  • When empty, simply click and refill the bowl

Important:

  • Treats are completely optional
  • Pets do not require food to survive
  • They will not get sick, run away, or be harmed

This system is designed to reward active players—not punish anyone.

🔧 What Happens Next

Before treats are released, you will see:

  • Updates to Home Objects
  • Updates to Mating Baskets
  • Systems adjusted to support happiness and new trait passing

These updates will roll out first to ensure everything is working smoothly across the grid.

💬 Final Thoughts

Foxtrot today is more focused than it once was—and that allows us to build better systems, add meaningful features, and support our products long-term.

We know this is a lot of change, and we truly appreciate you growing with us as we move forward.

More details will continue to be shared in upcoming meetings and announcements.
