Green Garden – Discovery Update!

June 11, 2026

There are some exciting changes coming to Green Garden! Let’s chat about it!

When Green Garden launched, it came with a unique game structure. Each month, breeders were able to “Discover” a brand new plant model by breeding together two existing varieties. Nothing like that had been seen on the grid before!

However, after over two years of play, this concept has grown to an amazing count – to date there are 124 different varieties of plants and flowers in the game, encompassing everything from roses to crystals to pumpkins and even trees! This has given players an enormous variety of plants to choose from in their breeding.

On the developer side of things, though, we’ve realized that the game has expanded past what Second Life can reliably update. To continue adding new plant models means we are nearing a game-crashing limit of what is possible for the grid to handle.

But that doesn’t mean the end of Green Garden…instead, it has opened up the possibilities for a brand new chapter!

Introducing a BRAND NEW way to add to your collection – with Green Garden Special Editions!

Starting TODAY, each month we will announce a new “SE” variety in an existing plant line. That means you’ll still be searching for a pair of a specific plant type each month to breed out, but instead of a new plant model, you’ll have the chance to unlock a very Special Edition of that plant line – ONLY available for a limited time!

To get us started on this new adventure, we’re reaching all the way back to the beginning – with Roses!

This Month’s June Discovery is….the Rose SE Pride 2026!

To find June’s Discovery Special Edition Rose, you’ll need to breed two existing Rose Plants together! This will be your ONLY CHANCE to add this amazing new Rose Variety into your breeding lines – because YES, it WILL pass!

You will have until July 5th to unlock this incredibly special variety before it disappears, so don’t wait!
