Hello Turtle Tot Breeders!

Recently, we shared some news about the future of Turtle Tots, including the retirement of the older Generation 2 through 10 shell lines as we prepare for the next chapter of the breedable.

Today, we’re excited to finally share a little more about what we’ve been working on behind the scenes.

And trust us… it’s a big one.

Turtle Tots Are Getting Traits!

That’s right!

When the upcoming update arrives, Turtle Tots will feature three separate trait slots:

🐢 Upper Shell
🐢 Under Shell
🐢 Body

Instead of a turtle being a single, fixed appearance, breeders will now be able to mix and match traits across all three categories, creating combinations we’ve never been able to offer before.

Love a particular shell pattern? Want to pair it with a different body color? Looking for the perfect underside to complete your collection?

Now you’ll be able to breed toward those combinations and create turtles that are uniquely your own.

This is the biggest change Turtle Tots have ever received, and we’re incredibly excited about the possibilities it opens up for collectors and breeders alike.

We’ve also taken the opportunity to give Turtle Tots some animation improvements, adding a little extra polish and personality while they go about their turtle business.

What Do I Need To Do?

The good news?

Nothing yet!

When the update is ready, we’ll announce the official update date and make sure everyone has plenty of notice.

When that day arrives, your existing Turtle Tots will automatically update to the new system. There won’t be any complicated process, exchanges, or replacements required.

Simply update your turtles and start discovering trait combinations!

A Quick Reminder About The Retiring Shell Lines

As mentioned in our previous announcement, the older Generation 2 through 10 shell lines are still being retired as part of this transition.

Once those starter packs are gone, they’ll be gone for good.

If you’ve been thinking about picking up some of the current starter packs and breeding out those classic shell designs before they disappear, now is a great time to do so.

And if those older shell lines aren’t on your wishlist?

That’s perfectly okay too!

You can simply wait for the update and jump straight into the new trait system when it arrives.

Final Testing Underway

We’re currently putting the finishing touches on everything and working through the final stages of testing.

The turtles are looking fantastic, the new trait system is already producing some amazing combinations, and we’re getting closer every day to sharing it with all of you.

We’ll keep everyone updated as we move toward release and let you know exactly when it’s time to update your turtles.
