Big Changes Are Coming to Foxtrot’s Monthly Pet Drops 🐾✨

Foxtrot is growing — and with that growth comes some exciting changes to how we handle our monthly pet drops. These updates are designed to make breeding more fun, more rewarding, and more valuable for the people who make Foxtrot what it is: you.

Let’s talk about what’s changing — and why this is a good thing.

A Quick Look Back

Up until now, our monthly drops have featured Complete LE (Limited Edition) pets:

  • Fully built
  • All traits included
  • Traits did not pass

They were beautiful, exclusive, and great for collectors.
But when it comes to breedables? They didn’t give breeders much room to play, build, or profit.

And that matters.

Why We’re Shaking Things Up

At its core, Foxtrot is a breeding community. For a breedable ecosystem to thrive, you need:

  • Traits that pass
  • Goals to work toward
  • Pets that people actually want to buy

A healthy secondary market benefits everyone — breeders, collectors, and Foxtrot itself. And honestly? Our old system didn’t support that the way it should have.

So we’re changing it.

Introducing SE Pets: The New Monthly Drop 🎉

Starting February 1st, with our Valentine’s Day drop, Foxtrot monthly drops will feature SE (Special Edition) pets instead of complete LEs.

What does that mean?

  • SE traits pass
  • Not all traits will drop at once
  • During the drop window, you’ll have a chance at specific SE traits
  • Over time, those traits can be bred together to create a fully-traited pet

Instead of receiving a finished pet right out of the box, you’ll be getting possibility — something you can build, refine, and turn into something truly special.

And yes — something worth selling.

Why This Is Better (And Way More Fun)

This new system:

  • Encourages real breeding strategies
  • Makes rare traits actually matter
  • Creates demand and excitement in the market
  • Gives breeders something valuable to work toward

Foxtrot will always have space for collectors — that’s part of our DNA.
But moving forward, we’re also putting a spotlight on desirability, trade, and growth.

Because breeding should feel rewarding — not static.
