A Letter from the CEO

Dear valued Foxtrot community,

I hope this message finds you well. I want to share some honest thoughts and feelings with all of you.

Running Foxtrot has been an incredible journey, one that I started with an unwavering commitment to meet every one of our customer’s needs. However, I’ve realized that this expectation, while noble, has its limits, and I’ve hit a point of burnout.

In my quest to provide immediate service, I’ve inadvertently hindered the work of our dedicated CSRs and neglected my well-being. I’ve reached a breaking point where I can no longer sustain this pace and level of involvement.

I’ve made mistakes, and I sincerely apologize for any frustration or inconvenience I’ve caused. To ensure better service and maintain my well-being, I’m transitioning to a server-side role, allowing our talented CSRs to take the reins in customer support.

Moving forward, I’ll still be available online and cherish interacting with you all. However, I won’t be handling support requests directly. Instead, I’ll guide you towards our support ticket system for assistance.

Expanding into new markets brought unforeseen challenges, and while we’ve made progress in reducing waiting lists, I acknowledge there are still pending matters. I regret any delay that falls short of your expectations.

Regarding our rules, they are essential for maintaining a harmonious environment. While I understand that rules can be frustrating, they’re crucial for the community’s well-being. We’re working on refining them, and your patience during this process is immensely appreciated.

If you have concerns or feedback, I encourage you to reach out through our ticketing system. Constructive dialogue and willingness to collaborate will help us address issues more effectively than lengthy explanations.

Rarely do I ask for community support, but now I’m reaching out for understanding and empathy as I transition to a reduced role. I also kindly ask for privacy, something I’ve often lacked while managing Foxtrot.

We all deserve respect and space in this community, and I’m seeking the opportunity to reclaim some of mine. Your understanding and cooperation during this time are invaluable.

Thank you for being a part of the Foxtrot family. Let’s work together to ensure a positive and supportive environment for everyone.

Warm regards,
Seb
